A new PS5 system-level software update has been made available by Sony for July 2023. Sony has published a number of system upgrades for the PlayStation 5 since the console’s introduction in November 2020.
While some of these minor updates are mostly for stability, others somewhat update the PS5 system with new functionality.
For instance, version 4.0 enabled customers to add a custom M.2 SSD to the PS5, increasing the system’s overall storage space and enabling the installation of more games. The PS5 console now has a new system software update from Sony.
New PS5 Console Update for July 2023 Patch Notes
- The system performance has been enhanced by this software upgrade.
According to creative pavan, PS5 system-level software version 23.01-07.60.00 is officially available, however, it doesn’t include any significant upgrades or modifications. It appears to be yet another security update for the PS5 since the patch notes state that this latest version enhances the console’s system performance.
All of the most recent iterations have served the same function, with PlayStation 5 system updates in June and March additionally bringing stability enhancements.
