With Fortnite Origins, the game’s most recent season, the company has been able to regain some of its hegemony, however, it will not have much longer to do so. Fortnite has seen several very distinct eras with rising and falling popularity.
For this reason, I wanted to share with you today the Fortnite Origins season finale and all the information you might need to know before it disappears forever.
When does Fortnite Origins end?
As of this writing, just over a weekend remains until Fortnite Origins officially ends on Saturday, December 2, according to Epic Games. More precisely, the season will conclude at 22:00 ET, meaning we are staring at its final hours of existence.

What we know about the future
Though the initial leaks have already surfaced, there is not a lot of information available at the moment. One of the most prominent leakers in the Fortnite community, Shiina, has stated that one of the key new features will be its new map.
In light of this, the upcoming season would also need to launch alongside this new map on Sunday, December 3 (or Monday, December 4). Thus, a new chapter and season of Epic’s battle royale would begin.
Since Fortnite does, in fact, host a lot of Christmas-themed events, it is possible that this tentative date is not entirely accurate. Instead, it may indicate that the new season will not begin until early to mid-January, during which time we will “only” get a Christmas-themed map in addition to special missions and events.
When and what time the Fortnite OG season ends
Finally, it is important to remember that there will be a final Fortnite event on Saturday, December 2, at approximately 14:00. During this event, we should once again encounter the black hole that has been the subject of so much discussion and debate over the previous few seasons. This will be the event that ends the current season and ushers in the next.
