PS3 Game Finally Getting: Yes, now you can get PS3 games on PS4 or PS5.

PlayStation gamers can look forward to the highly anticipated sequel of a popular game from back in 2008 as it finally arrives on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 later this year. Throughout the era of PlayStation 3, numerous indie games made their mark on the platform by becoming major successes.

Titles like Hotline Miami, Journey, Flower, and Spelunky quickly come to mind when thinking about these impactful games. While sequels have been developed for some of these titles already mentioned above; however, there is one project that has been granted its well-deserved follow-up entry on PlayStation.

PS3 Game Finally Getting

Recently revealed on the official PlayStation Blog, Q-Games announced that PixelJunk Eden 2 is currently being developed for both PS5 and PS4. The original PixelJunk Eden was just one game among several under the “PixelJunk” franchise; all launched during Sony’s previous console generation โ€“ PS3 era.

Since then, new additions have been brought forth within this series; however, they have mostly consisted of entirely new installments rather than sequels. Now, Q-Games has decided to take a nostalgic path and re-explore Eden after an absence of over a decade.

The fact that PixelJunk Eden 2 has already been released on other platforms but not PlayStation ones is what’s most peculiar about it coming to PS5 and PS4.

Eden 2 debuted exclusively on the Nintendo Switch back in 2020. At the time, the decision was viewed as being a little strange, especially since the PixelJunk series was one that was most closely associated with PlayStation.

But at the time, Q-Games rejected the PlayStation platform for whatever reason. Now, almost three years after the original release, the studio has made the decision to work with Sony once more and release the Eden sequel on its own consoles.
