The most recent Halloween update from Epic Games includes new Chrome Punk quests that players must finish to obtain a Chromeseed Backbling, the Graveyard Rave loading screen, and a free Chrome Punk outfit. This information was leaked in the above-mentioned Fortnite leak.

How to Get Chrome Punk Skin in Fortnite
The mission descriptions and their associated rewards are listed below:
- Reach Level 10 Account Achievement: Chromeseed Backbling
- Reach Level 25 of your account: Graveyard Rave Loading Screen
- Reach Level 50 Accounts: Chrome Punk Skin
To put it another way, players will have to level up their account through weekly, daily, milestone, and exclusive FortniteMares 2022 quests from the Quest tab.

It is important to note that players’ account level is not the same as their XP level, which can be verified by going to the Career tab in the game menu.
There is currently no end date for the quests, although Epic may announce one at a later time. Chrome Punk has also been introduced to the map as an NPC and may be seen wandering the island. Their official description can be found under the Characters tab.
“Chrome Punk, a well-known pioneer in the underground ‘gourd-core’ music scene, hacks and carves a path to victory. His attitude is unmatched, except when it comes to his brother Punk, with whom he had a falling out.”
His pickaxe from the set Bash Burner was nerfed by Epic because it was thought to be pay-to-win because of its faster swing rate, but a few years ago, a skin akin to Chrome Punk was released in the item shop with a structure similar to that of the latter.
Starting today, players can experience the horrors of FortniteMares 2022 on the island until November 1 at 2 a.m. ET.

Is the Chrome Punk skin still available?
The Chrome Punk skin is no longer available as of December 2023. Epic Games vaulted it because it was an exclusive skin that was part of Fortnitemares 2022, therefore you cannot purchase it from the Item Shop or acquire it through in-game challenges or quests.
I might be added to the Item Shop in the future, but for now, it is still vaulted. No release window is mentioned, so those who were unable to get their hands on the free Chrome Punk skin might never be able to again.
