Due to a recent discovery, players of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom have been creating some pretty bizarre aircraft over the past week. It was discovered that there is a glitch that allows you to disassemble the air-powered lifts in Hyrule and the Depths so you can use the components they are made of in your creations.
Since this substance is lightweight and easily propelled, a variety of inventions have taken to the skies over Hyrule.
The aircraft that u/MiztrSageTOTK-Only built and shared with the Hyrule Engineering subreddit, however, is probably the fastest you will find in terms of raw speed.
The player can traverse the entirety of Hyrule in just 2 minutes and 40 seconds thanks to their “Mach1 V-2” aircraft, which they are currently calling. It is capable of moving at a pretty absurd speed and is the fastest vehicle we’ve seen so far.

The creator of the device, u/MiztrSageTOTK-Only, also shared a video of it in use (which is embedded below), along with fairly comprehensive instructions on how to assemble one for yourself.
The fact that the device isn’t powered by rockets, as you might anticipate for something so fast, but rather by a single fan that isn’t even connected to the aircraft itself, makes the entire thing so impressive.
If you do try to make the Mach1 V-2, there are a few things to be aware of, such as the fact that the aircraft moves so quickly that the game will occasionally crash to allow it to finish loading the objects around you.
The player simply keeps going until their battery runs out and the machine starts hurtling to the ground, so it won’t be a particularly graceful landing either. It’s still fairly quick, and depending on where you’re going, it might even be quicker than a loading screen.
