Popular battle royale game Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), which made a triumphant comeback to India under a three-month trial period from the Indian government, has successfully finished its three-month trial period in India.
The BGMI made an amazing comeback to India in May 2023 after being stopped by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) in July 2022 due to security and data concerns.
As of right now, BGMI has successfully finished the three-month trial term without experiencing any interruptions. During that time, BGMI has reached new esports heights, including being broadcast on national television and being streamed on one of the biggest OTT giants, JioCinema.
Additionally, BGMI reached 100 million or more downloads on the Google Play Store, demonstrating how well-liked it is in India.

Players under the age of 16 are only permitted to play for a maximum of three hours, whilst players aged 18 and older are permitted to play for a maximum of six hours, as part of Krafton’s extensive efforts to make the game safe and avoid addiction. This is a smart move by Krafton to allay MeitY’s worries about young people being addicted to video games.
BGMI Esports in 3 Months
When it comes to the development of Indian ESports, BGMI is crucial. With a prize pool of INR 2.1 crore, the BGMI Masters Series Season 2 was a significant esports competition held by Nodwin Gaming and Star Sports and broadcast on television.
